Eight months pregnant, she vanished on Christmas Eve — and the dog she walked every morning came home without her. Part 1 of our 5-part Scott Peterson series: the vanishing of Laci Peterson.Laci Peterson was 27 and eight months pregnant with a son, Conner, when she disappeared from her Modesto, California home on December 24, 2002. Her husband Scott said he spent the day fishing alone in San Francisco Bay. That night, witnesses say, he told people he had been golfing. A neighbor had already found the couple's dog loose in the street — leash still on. A city searched. Police watched. And nobody yet knew about the woman in Fresno. Part 2 drops tomorrow.🔔 A new YS Crime episode drops every single day — SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications.CHAPTERS0:00 Intro0:12 Cold Open: A Christmas Eve Vanishing1:04 Who Laci Was1:51 Covena Avenue & Baby Conner2:37 December 23: The Last Normal Day3:17 Christmas Eve Morning: The Dog Came Back Alone3:55 The Drive to Berkeley Marina4:32 Home to an Empty House5:11 The First Night: No Sign of a Break-In5:52 A City Searches6:42 The Cracks — And a Name: Amber Frey🎧 Can't watch?
