Scott Hamer is a retired New Scotland Yard police inspector. He spent the last five years of his Metropolitan Police career as Personal Protection Officer to His Majesty King Charles III, as the former Prince of Wales. Over half of Scott's career was spent on close protection duties as a senior manager in Royalty and Specialist Protection (RaSP); responsible for the protection of UK and international public figures in over fifty countries across the globe, including failed states and warzones. Since retiring from the police, Scott has held senior security positions at The Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and The Royal Albert Hall. He is currently Head of Security and Resilience at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
