If you have hyperthyroidism (Graves' disease, toxic multinodular goiter, etc.) or Hashimoto's thyroiditis and are looking to do everything to save your thyroid gland, then the Save My Thyroid podcast is for you! Dr. Eric Osansky DC, IFMCP is the host, as he personally was diagnosed with Graves' disease in 2008 and was able to get into remission taking a natural approach. He created this podcast to help others with hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's save their thyroid and regain their health. If you have hyperthyroidism then pretty much all of the episodes will benefit you, and if you have Hashimoto's you'll benefit from most of the guest expert episodes, as well as some of the "solo" episodes. The reason there is more of a focus on hyperthyroidism is because all of the other thyroid-related podcasts focus mostly on hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's, and since Dr. Eric personally dealt with Graves' disease he wanted this podcast to focus more on hyperthyroidism, although it will still offer plenty of value to those with hypothyroidism/Hashimoto's. Dr. Eric Osansky lives in Matthews NC with his wife, 2 daughters, 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 guinea pigs! He has been a practitioner for 20+ years, and has focused on helping people with thyroid and autoimmune thyroid conditions since 2009.

  • Thyroid and Weight Loss: What Actually Helps
    2025/12/16

If your body hasn’t been cooperating lately, you might be relieved to hear why that’s more common and more fixable than you think.

Philip Pape and I dug into the deeper reasons why so many people struggle with fat loss, muscle loss, and long-term consistency, especially when thyroid health or chronic stress is part of the picture. We talked about protein needs, the role of strength training as we age, why fasting isn’t a magic solution, and how undereating can work against your goals. Philip also shares a very down-to-earth way of thinking about metabolism, recovery, and flexible nutrition that I find a lot of people benefit from hearing again in a simple, practical way.

For anyone who’s been frustrated by slow progress, tuning in may help you understand what your body has been trying to tell you.

  • 5 Ways to Lower Thyroid Antibodies
    2025/12/02

The path to lowering antibodies isn’t always quick, but it becomes clearer once you know which five areas matter most.

In this conversation, I walk through what thyroid antibodies actually mean and why they can fluctuate from one test to the next. I then break down five approaches that consistently make a difference, strengthening the foundations of health, addressing personal triggers, supporting gut health, reducing oxidative stress, and understanding when something like Low-Dose Naltrexone (LDN) might play a role. The goal is to help you see where your efforts matter most and why a layered approach usually works better than relying on a single strategy.

If you’ve been trying to make sense of your antibodies or you’re looking for next steps, you’ll find this episode helpful to listen to.
