One day, Sant Ji quietly left Rawalpindi without informing anyone, leaving his companions asleep. He reached the railway station alone and, with the help of a devotee, traveled to Dhan Mangal. Meanwhile, the Sangat became deeply concerned and searched throughout the surrounding areas for Sant Ji.

Eventually, his companions traced him to Dhan Mangal and discovered that Sant Ji had reportedly been lying unconscious in bed for two days. Yet, as soon as the Sangat arrived, Sant Ji suddenly sat up.

When the devotees asked, “Maharaj, what has happened?”, Sant Ji simply explained that everything was happening according to Hukam.

The devotees later learned that Sant Ji may have been given mercury (para) and had remained unconscious. His rising at the arrival of the Sangat became another remarkable incident in this chapter of his life.

The title of this episode, “Sant Kau Mat Nidho, Sant Ram Hai Iko,” reminds us of the Sikh teaching that we should never criticize or judge a true Sant, recognizing the Divine presence in spiritually realized souls.

After leaving Dera Khalsa, Sant Attar Singh Ji Maharaj quietly traveled through Dhamial, Rawalpindi, Ram Kund, Haripur, Kanohe, and Dukh Bhanjani, eventually reaching Kahuta. For some time, Sant Ji remained hidden from the public, immersed in meditation and remembrance of the Divine. Eventually, a Muslim fakir revealed his whereabouts, and the Sangat was blessed to find him.

The news of Sant Ji's spiritual practice at Kahuta and his teachings among the Sangat soon spread throughout Pothohar. Devotees from different places began seeking his Darshan and guidance.

One particularly touching incident involves Mai Bhagwanti, the wife of Sardar Lakhmi Singh Ji of Dera Khalsa. When she became seriously ill, she expressed her deep longing to have Darshan of Sant Ji Maharaj. Hearing her heartfelt request, Sardar Lakhmi Singh Ji traveled to Kahuta and brought Sant Ji back to Dera Khalsa. Upon arriving, Sant Ji immediately went to meet her and fulfilled her heartfelt desire for his Darshan.
