The woman tells Luna about a wedding night in 1947, a murdered husband, and a creek that gives back what it takes. This episode is a quiet, frozen-hour encounter with something that has been waiting a long time—and is still waiting when Luna walks away.

He hears a sound like a woman humming, then a wet rustling he cannot name. Thirty years earlier, another boy hid in that same culvert and later drew pictures of a bird with a human face — pictures that still hang in a diner booth. A local woman remembers that old drawing and what she saw the night her brother disappeared. Luna walks the creek bed at dusk, Polaroid in hand, trying to capture something that keeps moving just out of frame. No neat ending. Just the sound of salt cracking underfoot and the feeling that something is still waiting under the bridge.

Luna finds fresh tire tracks in the gravel, a single coffee cup on the railing, and a note tucked under the mat that reads 'She still walks the upstairs hall.' What Luna sees through the kitchen window changes how she thinks about empty houses forever.
