Sakiyna Thompson (also spelled Sakina Thompson) was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole for the July 2022 killing of 23-year-old Kayla Hodgson in Tamarac, Broward County, Florida. Prosecutors said Thompson flew from New York to South Florida with the intent to kill, driven by jealousy over Hodgson's relationship with her ex-boyfriend.
