  • You're Invited (Part 7) - Ordinary guides towards Truth
    2026/08/10

    Preacher: Joshua Lattimore

    Mark 10:17-31; John 16:7-15

Welcome to this week's message from Saint James Glen Iris. In this sermon, we explore the fourth step on the faith journey: the moment people start to seek Jesus.

Looking at Jesus' encounter with the rich young ruler, we see what it means to be guides to truth. As people start to seek Jesus, we are to help by answering their questions, helping them see their deep need, and how Jesus is the only answer. Sometimes as guides, we even need to let people go on a different path.

  • You're Invited (Part 2) - Ordinary Hospitality is a Christian Calling
    2026/06/08

    Preacher: Revd Samuel Crane

    Romans 12:9–21; 1 Peter 4:7–1

Welcome to this week's message from Saint James Glen Iris. In this sermon, we explore what it looks like to live as the bride of Christ. Hospitality is not a gift for some, but obedience for all.

Often, we, the church, are friendly and nice to one another, but true fellowship as siblings goes much deeper in affection and love. The only way we can live out our faith together is to be close in fellowship and intimacy, not standing at arm's length.

Drawing from Romans 12 and 1 Peter 4, we're reminded that God's sacrificial love is to shape the life of his church through genuine relationships, generous hospitality, and practical care for one another.

Discover how opening our homes and sharing our lives can become a powerful witness to the welcoming love of Jesus.

  • You're Invited (Part 5) - Fostering Curiosity about Jesus
    2026/06/29

    Preacher: Bella Bradbeer (trainee)

    John 3:1–21, Titus 3:1-11

Welcome to this week's message from Saint James Glen Iris. In this sermon, we explore how to foster curiosity about Jesus among those around us.

When we humbly live as followers of Jesus, we look different to those around us. As people see this difference, they can often become curious about why. We do not need to have it all together, but through our lives lived authentically under Jesus our King, and through thoughtful questions, we can help people become curious about what really matters - life in Jesus.

    Preacher: Josh Latimore (trainee)

    Mark 5:21-43

Welcome to this week's message from Saint James Glen Iris. In this sermon, we explore the need to build trusting relationships with our non-Christian friends before we share our faith.
