Season 1 (2026): Super Sorry Takes on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)

SUPER SORRY® is the fun podcast about superhero apologies. Each episode, hosts Amber and Todd look at a MCU movie and ask who messed up, who changed, and who maybe should have just said I'm sorry. In this episode, we break down Doctor Strange (2016), and his mystical origin story. As Stephen Strange transforms from an arrogant neurosurgeon into the future Sorcerer Supreme, we explore the consequences of his ego, the relationships he damages, and the personal growth that follows. From Christine Palmer to Kamar-Taj, we examine the impact of Strange’s choices and what his journey reveals about redemption, accountability, and becoming a better person.

SUPER SORRY talks about superhero apologies in MCU movies: where they exist, where they don't, and how your favorite superhero could have apologized - all with a healthy dose of humor. And you get to learn about how you can use the power of apology in your everyday life.

Dive in as we move along to the upcoming conclusion of the MCU Multiverse Saga (Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Avengers: Doomsday, Avengers: Secret Wars) exploring the world of superhero ethics and finding humor in the relatable mistakes of superheroes, with some fun-filled wisdom along the way.

  • Supergirl (2026) – Doing Good vs Being Good | DCU Side Quest
    2026/06/28

In this episode of SUPER SORRY®, we step outside the MCU and into the DCU with Supergirl (2026)—a raw, fast-moving story about grief, survival, and messy heroism.

As Kara fights to save Krypto and crosses paths with Ruthye, we break down the apologies we get, the ones we don’t, and the damage left behind. From space pirate fights to bystanders caught in the middle, this film asks a bigger question: is doing good enough… if people still feel the impact?

    We cover:

    • Apology Audit: The apologies that actually happen—and what they reveal

    • Apologies That Could Have Been: The moments that needed just a little more honesty

    • Damage Diary: Who and what pays the price when action comes before reflection

Whether you’re a DCU fan, a Marvel fan, or just here for character-driven deep dives, this episode explores what Supergirl (2026) gets right—and what it leaves unresolved.

  • Winter Soldier Trigger Words Explained | MCU Civil War (Bucky Barnes)
    2026/06/21

In this quick detour into Captain America: Civil War, Todd and Amber unpack one of the MCU’s most unsettling details: the 10-word trigger sequence used to control Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. the Winter Soldier. What starts as a strange list of words—“longing, rusted, 17…”—quickly becomes something deeper: proof that Bucky wasn’t just dangerous… he was used.

    Along the way, they explore:

    • The very real (and slightly awkward) reality that Sebastian Stan hears the trigger words from fans all the time

    • The idea of “activation” and what it says about our own automatic reactions

    • How patterns and triggers shape what we do—before we even realize it

Because maybe most of us don’t have a secret code phrase—but we do have patterns, triggers, and moments where we stop actively choosing our responses. So the real question becomes: What activates you—and do you like what happens next?
