  • CT Designer's Game-Day Jacket Goes Viral in NYC
    2025/05/31
In today's Tell Me Something Good story we learn about the Connecticut designer who is getting major attention for uniting fans of different teams under one epic jacket. Alex Ruffin’s “Madison Square Guardian” jacket for example combines vintage Knicks and Rangers gear into a single, stylish piece that a fan of both teams can wear produly. Handmade and upcycled from thrifted items, these jackets have been turning heads from the streets of Connecticut all the way to Madison Square Garden. And have even been on some famous pro athletes like Knicks star Jalen Brunson. Has been rocking the $1,400 "Madison Square Guardian" jacket. Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. also has one of Alex's jackets. The "Hometown Hero" Yankees/Knicks design. A few rappers like Westside Gunn, Anderson .Paak, Lil Yachty and Big Sean are also big fans of Alex's work.

Me being from Boston, I'm not sure if he would have the heart as a New York fan to cook up a sweet Celtics/Patriots jacket so I may need to learn to sew and do that myself.
