Captured throughout the day in the Old Library at Stretford Public Hall, this episode features quick conversations, reflections and moments from people attending the festival, offering a snapshot of Stretford through the voices of the community.

This episode was commissioned by the organisers of StretFest, Stretford Town Centre Forum, and supported by Trafford Council, Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the UK Government.

Yasmin and Anne reflect on memories of Victoria Park, local history and growing up around Stretford. From stories connected to Morrissey to reflections on how the area has changed over time, the episode explores memory, identity and connection to place.

Steven, Nigel and Lee share thoughtful and positive reflections on living in Stretford, speaking about community, belonging and the quieter parts of local life that often matter most. An honest conversation about the value of place and the people within it.

Michael, David and Dawn look back on the history of Stretford Town Centre, sharing memories of old shops, the famous fish tanks and the town centre through the years. The conversation also explores the area’s redevelopment and what people hope Stretford could become in the future.
