aking a list of the people we had harmed while we were operating in our addiction is imperative. Making amends to them is important for us, but it’s not about us. It’s about them. The things that happened to us affected other people. The things that we did in our addiction need to be repaired.

God has many ways for us to turn to him. Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the freedom to fully live the life he has planned for us. We cannot live a joyous and free life without being cleansed and admitting we need him. Yes I’m talking about God, he is the one who takes away our sin through Jesus Christ.

Step six and seven are clearly about being ready to ask for forgiveness from God. Everything before this is introspective, but this is where we allow for God to do what we cannot do for ourselves.
