On this episode of VIE Speaks: Conversations with Heart & Soul podcast, host Lisa Marie Burwell, VIE’s CEO/editor-in-chief, was joined by Dave King, Co-Founder of SOWAL House in Rosemary Beach, FL.
Dave spent many years in New York City in the financial industry. He eventually immersed himself in the fast-paced world of production and creative work. From behind-the-scenes storytelling to shaping ideas into tangible experiences, his career has always centered around bringing people and inspiration together.
Now, through SOWAL House, Dave is channeling that same creative energy into building something deeply intentional—a space designed for connection and collaboration. They talk about his transition from city life to beach life, what it takes to create something from the ground up, and how creativity evolves when your environment shifts. Dave graciously shared details from his upcoming documentary, Sideman, which follows three-time Grammy®️-winning jazz bassist, Steve Gilmore.
