Jeff Liles has booked more of Dallas' most important venues than almost anyone alive. He ran Theater Gallery when Deep Ellum was still an empty warehouse district, then went on to book the Prophet Bar, Club Dada, Longhorn Ballroom, Trees, and the Dallas Hard Rock Cafe before landing at the Kessler Theater, where he still works today as Creative Director.

In this episode, Jeff breaks down how Deep Ellum got its name back, why Reverend Horton Heat got his start with no songs and no band, how a dollar per ticket deal brought Jane's Addiction and Husker Du to Dallas, and what actually happened the night Nirvana played Trees in 1991, including the real story of finding Kurt Cobain hiding in a broom closet and convincing him to finish the show.
