Dr. Jemar Tisby is a public historian, bestselling author, and racial justice advocate whose work challenges audiences to pursue faith-rooted action. He is the founder of The Witness, Inc., an organization dedicated to Black uplift from a Christian perspective, and Founder and Principal of Tisby Media.

Tisby is the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of The Color of Compromise, as well as How to Fight Racism, winner of the 2022 ECPA Christian Book Award for Faith & Culture. His most recent book is The Spirit of Justice: True Stories of Faith, Race, and Resistance.
