Season 3 of the DPS Seven Points podcast kicks off with a new co-host and a fresh perspective. Host Warren Trent welcomes Trooper Randi Wybron, the newest voice behind the microphone and a longtime Arizona Department of Public Safety employee with 12 years of experience across the agency.

Randi shares her journey from working in an office environment to becoming a DPS trooper, explaining how a chance conversation with another trooper and a ride-along opened her eyes to the many career opportunities within DPS. She discusses her experiences in patrol, criminal investigations and recruiting, and what ultimately led her to the Public Information Office.

The conversation also explores what it takes to become a DPS trooper, the challenges of the academy, opportunities available to recruits and laterals, and the many professional staff positions that support the agency. Randi offers insight into the recruiting process and why DPS continues to be a place where employees can build long-term careers.

And, of course, no introduction would be complete without a few laughs. Randi shares some memorable moments from her career, including an unforgettable traffic stop involving lipstick, a bagel-related wardrobe mishap and her first live radio interview.

Join Warren and Randi as they kick off a new season of Seven Points and explore the people, careers and mission behind DPS.
