The Pinellas County Urban League and the Urban League of Hillsborough County officially merged to form a unified regional organization under the name Urban League of the Florida Suncoast. President and CEO Nikki Gaskin-Capehart (formerly led the Pinellas affiliate) will lead the new organization.
The central headquarters will remain at 333 31st Street North, St. Petersburg, FL.
The Urban League of the Florida Suncoast will serve Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Marion, Lake, Sumter, and Seminole counties eventually expanding coverage into Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and Lee counties (growing the footprint to a 12-county region).
Focus Initiatives include Youth & Education, Economic Development, Community & Advocacy
