Family estrangement is becoming increasingly common, yet few people are willing to talk openly about it.

In this deeply personal first episode, I share my family's story—not to assign blame or ask listeners to choose sides, but to begin an honest conversation about one of the most painful realities many families face today.

Along the way, I reflect on what God has taught me through grief, repentance, and hope, and I explain why my personal journey led me to ask a much bigger question: How did we get here?

As a worldview teacher, I explore the cultural ideas that I believe have reshaped the modern family, including the rise of child-centered parenting and how it may have influenced the way we think about authority, responsibility, identity, and reconciliation. I also discuss the difference between thoughtful psychology and today's pop-therapy culture, arguing that Christians should evaluate every cultural idea—including our views of family and healing—through the authority of Scripture.

Whether you're a parent experiencing estrangement, an adult child trying to understand your own family, or someone seeking a thoughtful biblical perspective on today's culture, my prayer is that this conversation encourages you to pursue truth with humility, extend grace without abandoning wisdom, and remember that no relationship is beyond God's reach.

This is the beginning of a conversation—not the end.
