Ryan Day just told the world his defensive line needs to step up, and he's not being subtle about it.

No. 5 Ohio State (3-1) is heading to Kinnick Stadium to face No. 14 Iowa (4-0) this Saturday, October 3rd at 3:30 PM ET on CBS, and Ryan Day is publicly putting his defensive line on notice after Illinois gashed the Buckeyes for over 500 yards. We break down Day's actual comments about "taking all applications" on the D-line, what that really means for guys like Kenyatta Jackson, Jason Moore, and Eddrick Houston, and why the interior defensive line has been the single biggest question mark on this roster. We get into whether freshman pass rusher Khary Wilder is ready for a bigger role, why the Alabama transfers haven't flashed the way everyone expected, and what has to change before Ohio State walks into a hostile Kinnick Stadium against a bruising Iowa run game.

Then we shift to Iowa's side: Kamari Moulton is the kind of downhill, tackle-breaking back that exposed exactly these issues on tape, and if Ohio State's front seven doesn't clean this up fast, this trip to Iowa City could get ugly.
