What do you do when someone gets under your skin, hurts you, disagrees with you, or just seems impossible to understand?
In this episode of Everything In Between, we take on one of Jesus’ most challenging teachings: “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.” (Luke 6:27–36)
That sounds great in theory… until you actually have to do it.
We talk honestly about conflict, forgiveness, difficult relationships, unexpected friendships, boundaries, and the temptation to divide people into “us” and “them.” From friendships that started off badly to relationships that have grown through faith, we explore what happens when we stop seeing people as obstacles and start seeing them as people created by God.
Featuring:
Christina Shaver, Senior Pastor
Melissa Johnson, Next Gen Minister
Addison McBride, TSM Summer Intern
Jazlyn Jackomis, Kids Ministry Coordinator
Jesus calls us to something different—not simply to love the people who love us, but to love people differently.
If you've ever struggled with a difficult relationship, wrestled with forgiveness, experienced conflict with someone you love, or wondered how your faith should shape the way you treat people who don't agree with you, this episode is for you.
Everything in Between is a podcast from Trinity United Methodist Church where we have honest conversations about faith, life, discipleship, and all the moments in between. New episodes feature pastors, ministry leaders, students, and members sharing their stories, questions, and experiences as they seek to follow Jesus in everyday life.
