As the EOFY sales come to a halt, it is time to take stock of the sporting year. Our fearless, peerless (and some would say clueless) panellists give their three predictions for the rest of the year.

Finey forsees the World Cup, Brownlow, AFL Premiers, Coleman Medal & Melbourne Cup results. Kev's prognostications are England's chances in the World Cup plus changes at the top of Aussie cricket and AFL HQ. Stephen J uses his crystal ball (stop sniggering please) to announce the 2026 AFL Premiers and the woman who will win Wimbledon and the US Open. New balls please.

The sporting cup runneth over, with World Cup football, darts, Wimbledon, US Open golf, State of Origin Rugby League, netball finals and of course yet another round of our favourite - AFL.

In the hotly contested Lenny's Fine Food Tipping Competition, Ken tipped the card in a form reversal to rival anything seen on a sporting field anywhere.

This week there's plenty of sport to discuss and Finey even went to the theatre.

Musically, it's families in the spotlight and you will be surprised to hear some of the names bandied about including The Hives, Greta Van Fleet, The DeFranco Family and Iggy and the Stooges. What the Family indeed.

'As the chill of winter brings its icy countenance' is a nice turn of phrase and might be a good opening line for a Bureau of Meteorology staff meeting, but here it acts as an entree to the cold, hard reality of this episode's freshly generated word salad.
