I just launched a new Performance Max campaign for a home services company in the Midwest.
We’ve tried Performance Max in this account before, and it didn’t work. But the account is different now.
Broad and phrase match are outperforming exact match. Maximize Conversions bidding is working. The client is qualifying leads in the CRM and feeding that data back into Google Ads. And over the last 30 days, the account generated 28 real qualified leads.
On top of that, we have a serious budget, a lot of real project photos, YouTube videos, and a much better understanding of what kind of traffic and leads actually work for the business.
In this episode, I explain why I think the account has finally earned its way into Performance Max, what I look for before launching it, and why the right data, budget, assets, and timing matter so much.
I’m giving the campaign 30 to 90 days. Now we’ll see if Performance Max can generate qualified leads at a comparable or cheaper cost and add more volume.
