President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law on July 26, 1990, establishing a landmark civil rights milestone for equality, accessibility, and protection against discrimination. One year earlier, Karen and Jim attended an ADA rally that would change their lives in more ways than one.

Prior to 1993, there were no available disease modifying therapies for multiple sclerosis (MS). In the absence of more effective clinical therapies, many people with MS explored alternative therapies. In this episode of Rolling Home, residents Jody and Lauri share their experience of trying bee sting therapy many years before they moved to The Boston Home.
