  • Chapter 7: A Table for One
    2026/08/28

Being alone and being lonely aren't the same thing.

Sometimes you genuinely miss somebody. Sometimes you miss their attention. And sometimes... the room just got quiet.

In Chapter 7 of Rogue Theory, I’m thinking through what it actually means to enjoy your own company—the empty chair, the urge to reach for your phone, the people we keep around just to avoid being alone, and the uncomfortable possibility that independence can become its own kind of armor.

Maybe the goal isn't to stop needing people.

Maybe it's learning to say, “I wish you were here,” without that becoming, “I can't enjoy this because you're not.”

Rogue Theory — ordinary shit, questioned differently.

  • Chapter 6: Would You Actually Want to Read People's Minds?
    2026/08/13

Everybody says they want the truth.

    Okay.

    How much truth?

Imagine waking up tomorrow and suddenly being able to hear what everybody actually thinks about you.

    Your friends.

    Your coworkers.

    Your family.

    Your partner.

The stranger who just looked at you for three seconds too long.

Sounds useful… until somebody smiles in your face while their brain says something completely different.

Chapter 6 of Rogue Theory plays with one question:

Would reading people's minds actually make life easier—or completely ruin it?

We're talking intrusive thoughts, attraction, friendships, relationships, workplace conversations, white lies, secrets, and all the random thoughts humans probably aren't supposed to hear from one another.

Because maybe privacy isn't just about protecting secrets.

Maybe we need a little uncertainty just to tolerate each other.

So if you had the ability to read minds…

    would you turn it on?

    And more importantly,

could you ever turn it back off?

Rogue Theory — Ordinary shit. Questioned differently.

  • Chapter 5: Everybody Thinks They're a Good Driver
    2026/08/13

Nobody thinks they're the bad driver.

It's always the person going too slow in the left lane. The one riding your bumper. The person who doesn't use a turn signal. The one who somehow needs three business days to make a right turn.

    But here's the problem:

If everybody thinks everybody else sucks at driving… some of us have to be the people everybody's talking about.

Chapter 5 of Rogue Theory is about the strange confidence we develop behind the wheel. Road rage, unwritten driving rules, parking-lot behavior, why getting passed suddenly feels disrespectful, and why perfectly reasonable people become completely different human beings once somebody cuts them off.

    No deeper life lesson required.

We just need to settle something:

Are you actually a good driver… or have you just never had to ride with yourself?

Rogue Theory — Ordinary shit. Questioned differently.
