The Colorado Rockies finished 58-104, but the real story is the 2027 roster construction. Erica and Brett break down the catcher battle between Hunter Goodman, Braxton Fulford, and Brett Sullivan. Goodman’s recent power surge suggests he’s the starter, leaving one secondary catcher vulnerable. The middle infield logjam features Willi Castro, Adael Amador, Connor Norby, and Ezequiel Tovar, with Tovar locked in at shortstop. Brett Sullivan is predicted to be traded or designated for assignment. The outfield sees Zac Veen securing left field, ahead of Mickey Moniak and Jake McCarthy. Pitching depth is critical, with Kyle Freeland and Tomoyuki Sugano anchoring the rotation. Bullpen cuts will likely affect Juan Mejia and TJ Shook. The hosts project a 70-win improvement for 2027 based on this younger, more athletic core.
