The Colorado Rockies finished 58-104 in fifth place in the NL West, ending their season with a split against the playoff-bound Chicago White Sox. Hunter Goodman emerged as the primary catcher with home runs against Munetaka Murakami, while Ezequiel Tovar solidified his shortstop role. This mailbag covers the roster battles for Zac Veen in left field and the bullpen depth featuring Jordan Romano.

Hosts Erica and Brett analyze the impact of the automated ball-strike system, which overturned 54% of challenged calls, on the Rockies' young talent. They discuss whether Braxton Fulford or Brett Sullivan will be traded or designated for assignment given Goodman's offensive output. The conversation also explores the middle infield logjam involving Willi Castro and Connor Norby.

With projections pointing to a 70-win improvement in 2027, the hosts evaluate the pitching staff led by Kyle Freeland and the need for rotation depth. They assess the potential of rookies and veterans alike, including Ryan Feltner and Tomoyuki Sugano, to support the offense. The episode concludes with a look at the path to competitiveness in the NL West.
