  • Travis Wilburn – From Addiction and Isolation to Freedom Through Community
    2026/05/22

Sometimes the greatest transformation happens when we finally stop pretending we have it all together.

Behind the smiles, success, and appearances, many people are silently battling addiction, shame, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. They believe the lie that they’re alone in their struggles—but God never intended for us to fight alone.

In this honest and powerful conversation, John Martin sits down with Travis Wilburn to share a testimony of redemption, freedom, and the life-changing power of godly community.

Travis opens up about growing up in a Christian home but spending nearly ten years running from God and chasing the world. Like so many people, he searched for purpose and peace through partying, alcohol, and temporary distractions. What started as casual drinking eventually became a coping mechanism for life itself.

    Good day? Drink to celebrate.
Bad day? Drink to numb the pain.

For years, Travis lived trapped in cycles of addiction, lust, shame, and frustration—while still believing in God on some level. But deep down, he felt stuck and powerless to truly change.

    Then everything shifted.

At 25 years old, Travis began sensing God gently drawing him back. Night after night, while his friends were out partying, he found himself sitting alone in his room listening to sermons, taking notes, and feeling God awaken something inside his heart.

One night, while watching a message from Pastor Andy Stanley, Travis responded to an altar call alone in his bedroom. He raised his hand, surrendered his life to Jesus, and encountered the presence of God in a real and personal way.

But even after giving his life to Christ, Travis still struggled with hidden sin and cycles he didn’t know how to break.

That’s when God used something unexpected to change his life forever: a small group.

Through authentic Christian community, Travis finally experienced what it meant to stop hiding. Sitting in a room full of men honestly sharing their struggles, fears, addictions, and failures, he realized he wasn’t alone. For the first time, he confessed the things he had kept hidden for years.

    And healing began.

Travis shares how accountability, prayer, honesty, and brotherhood became the tools God used to bring lasting freedom into his life. He explains that true healing often begins the moment we stop concealing our struggles and bring them into the light.

    As scripture says:
“Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.”

This conversation also highlights the importance of surrounding yourself with godly people during life’s hardest moments. Travis recounts a terrifying season when his young son suffered a serious accident and was airlifted to the hospital. In the middle of fear and uncertainty, it was the prayers and support of Christian community that carried their family through.

Today, Travis passionately encourages others to:
    Get into God’s Word daily.
    Find a Christ-centered church.
Join a small group and walk in authentic community.
And never believe the lie that you are alone.

No matter what addiction, fear, anxiety, or struggle you’re facing today, freedom is possible through Jesus Christ.

You don’t have to hide anymore.
You don’t have to fight alone.
And your past does not disqualify you from God’s purpose.

What’s one struggle you need to bring into the light and stop carrying by yourself today?

  • Pastor Dave Holland – Finding Grace in Life’s Lowest Moments
    2026/05/15

Life can change in an instant. One phone call, one betrayal, one painful season can leave everything you once depended on shattered. In those moments, many people wonder: “Where is God now?”

In this deeply honest and hope-filled conversation, John Martin sits down with Pastor Dave Holland to share a testimony of heartbreak, restoration, and discovering the overwhelming grace of God.

Dave opens up about growing up in East Los Angeles in a rough environment after his parents divorced when he was young. At sixteen years old, he encountered Jesus through a church youth group, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and ministry. God eventually called him into pastoral ministry, leading him across the country to plant churches and serve communities for over 25 years.

But even after years of ministry, Dave found himself walking through one of the darkest seasons of his life.

After decades of marriage, his wife unexpectedly left, and within months, Dave lost not only his marriage but also his ministry position, career, and home. Everything he had built seemed to collapse at once. He describes it as a season of devastating grief, confusion, and deep emotional pain.

Yet it was there—in the middle of brokenness—that Dave encountered the grace of God in a way he never had before.

He shares how God met him in his lowest moments, reminding him that no failure, sin, or heartbreak can separate us from His presence. Even when Dave wrestled with anger, shame, and temptation, God remained faithful. Through surrender and honesty before the Lord, healing slowly began to take place.

Dave’s message is simple but powerful:
    Jesus is still enough.

    Not religion.
    Not performance.
    Not perfection.
    Just Jesus.

Throughout the conversation, Dave emphasizes that Christianity is not about pretending to have it all together. Churches are filled with imperfect people learning how to love God and love one another. Healing happens when we stop hiding, become honest about our struggles, and walk in authentic community.

    He encourages believers to:
    Stay grounded in God’s Word.
Get connected to a Bible-believing church.
Find accountability and community through small groups.
And most importantly—keep coming back to Jesus.

Dave also speaks directly to those carrying guilt, shame, addiction, or past mistakes, reminding them that they are never too far gone for God’s mercy. No matter how broken life may feel, God’s grace reaches deeper still.

Your failures do not define you.
Your pain is not the end of your story.
And God’s love is bigger than your worst mistake.

What’s one area of your life where you need to stop hiding and invite Jesus into the healing process today?

  • Cherie Anderson – The Gospel Made Simple: A Call to Share Jesus Boldly
    2026/05/08

Sometimes we overcomplicate what God intended to be simple. We think we need to know every scripture, have every answer, or be fearless before we can share our faith. But the truth is—God is simply looking for willing hearts.

In this powerful conversation, Valerie Peterson sits down with Cherie Anderson, minister, worship leader, author, and founder of STW Ministries (“Saving the World One Soul at a Time”), to talk about the urgency of evangelism and the simplicity of the Gospel.

Cherie shares how her passion for reaching souls grew from a deep conviction that every believer—not just pastors or evangelists—is called to share the love of Jesus. Through missionary work, outreach ministries, and years of serving alongside her husband Randy, Cherie has witnessed firsthand how one simple act of obedience can change someone’s eternity.

For Cherie, evangelism isn’t about perfection or performance—it’s about love.

She explains how so many people feel unqualified or afraid to share their faith, yet God never asked us to have all the answers. He simply asked us to be available. Whether it’s offering prayer, sharing your testimony, helping someone in need, or opening a spiritual conversation with kindness, God can use ordinary moments to do extraordinary things.

Cherie also shares how her book, The Gospel Made Simple, was inspired by the realization that many people misunderstand why we come to Jesus. Christianity isn’t just about receiving blessings or having an easier life—it’s about reconciliation with God. Jesus came to restore what sin separated and to bring heaven into our everyday lives.

Throughout the conversation, Cherie emphasizes that:

    • The Gospel is simple when it’s shared through love.

    • Your testimony has power.

    • Fear is one of the enemy’s greatest tools to silence believers.

    • Obedience matters more than the outcome.

    • Every believer is called to be a witness for Christ.

Cherie also speaks about the spiritual hunger she’s seeing today—especially among young people. In a world full of confusion, anxiety, and emptiness, people are searching for something real. And she believes revival is already stirring across the nation as hearts turn back to Jesus.

This conversation is filled with encouragement and practical wisdom for anyone wanting to grow in boldness and faith:

    Stay grounded in God’s Word.

Find a Bible-based church and community.

Walk in accountability with other believers.

And most importantly—don’t let fear keep you silent.

You don’t have to be perfect to share Jesus.

You just have to say yes.

What’s one simple way God may be asking you to share His love with someone today?
