Navigating Chaos: Cardcon, Stock Drama & CommunityThis week on Rip’N’Sip, Curio Rich and Ragingnes are catching up after Cardcon and talking about everything that’s happened since……the good, the bad, and the downright frustrating.Firstly it’s onto Cardcon, with Rich sharing his experience of the event and getting involved in the Pokémon TCG scene. He then recounts playing in a local tournament at Board In The City Southampton. What starts out with everyone sitting around a table playing cards quickly turns into swapping stories, having a laugh and remembering why the community side of the hobby is such a big part of it.But it hasn’t all been fun and games.Ragingnes has had a slightly more stressful week thanks to ongoing stock issues with Asmodee, poor communication and the general chaos that comes with trying to run a business in the Pokémon world. When you're putting money into stock, trying to plan ahead and keep customers happy, not knowing what you're actually going to receive — or when you're going to receive it — gets frustrating pretty quickly. There’s plenty of ranting (obviously), some honest chat about the realities of being a retailer, and a look at why sometimes you simply have to roll with whatever gets thrown at you.As Ragingnes puts it:“Ultimately, adapt or die.”So, expect Cardcon stories, Pokémon community chat, retailer frustrations, stock drama and the usual Rip’N’Sip chaos.Grab a drink, get comfortable and enjoy the episode. 🍻
