Ricky went into these repairs expecting a mess, but it wasn't bad at all. So give it a try with proper precautions of course.     Ricky starts off the show on the road with his friend that's a fellow car nut and actor, Ivan. The guys talk about EV's and the cost comparison to gas cars. A $1,000 a month?? Ricky and Ivan talk about the tech and head back into the studio. Back in the studio, Ivan talks about playing the character Steve in a movie. Ricky notices a part of his performance that was improved, and it was classic. The guys talk some about stage acting and the dedication it takes. Ivan gives a tip on memorizing lines, and getting into character. The guys talk about extra roles, speaking roles and the likelihood of someone getting a speaking role as an extra. Ivan gives advice on improving your acting abilities. Ivan talks about some experiences on set and the hilarious situations that can happen. Ricky talks about sugar glass. Don't mess with that guy.     Ricky starts off this month's show talking about sharing things with you. That being the ethical part of recording. The purpose of the tally light is discussed. Ricky also loves the built in privacy of his newest field audio recorder. He then talks about his technique for alerting those on set, that he's recording. What is that sound? Do you hear that? Ricky explains. Adding a jet engine to your project is always a good idea. He then talks about creative ways to capture real sounds for your project and the production process. Practice patience and you'll be fine. Ricky talks about thinking ahead when packing your gear for a project to be prepared for technical bugs. Talking about this with you reminded Ricky of a memory of geeking out in a TV sports production and satellite uplink truck. This was a good example of preparing for anything: 80,000 lbs worth of prep specifically. Ricky then talks about his method of capturing on-set sound so that nothing is missed. What the heck is a shotgun mic? Ricky finally talks about his surprisingly and fortunately, non-stinky experience in North Georgia.     Ricky takes the show on the road again; he gives a teaser on what's coming up later this season. This being more talk about acting and also electric vehicles. He then talks about a technique for recording your ideas or show content in the moment to build your brand. Back in the studio, he talks about working with a Mean Girl and a Soggy Bottom Boy. That being Amanda Seyfried and Tim Blake Nelson. He then dives into the meat of the show, recording an electric guitar direct with no amplifier playing in the room, and it sounding near finished. This gives you a very quiet way to song write and even record. Don't think you have to be absolutely perfect with your music. Committing to sound and staying disciplined is mentioned.
