  • Why Do You Actually Want That? The Question That Changes Every Goal
    2026/08/26

Most goals fail before the first obstacle because the reason behind them was never honest to begin with. The same principles that drive motivation work across every area of life, and this episode puts them to work on the ones people struggle with most: fitness, nutrition, money, career, and relationships. The domains are different. The psychology is not. There are also a few things worth hearing that people don't usually say out loud: overspending is not a character flaw, loneliness genuinely increases your odds of dying early, and the most common reason a relationship stalls is not the other person.

  • Actually Do Hard S*** – Goal Setting, Systems, and Getting Unstuck
    2026/08/12

Motivation is not the thing that gets hard stuff done. A good system is. And there is a real difference between those two things.

The goal needs to start with a why that actually holds up under pressure. Not a vague image of who you want to be, but something tied closely enough to your values that it can carry you through the parts where it stops feeling good. Most goals stall not because people are lazy but because the plan was never built to survive contact with real life.

Willpower gets way too much credit. What actually looks like willpower in the people who seem to have it is usually just smart environmental design and a few well-placed habits that take the decision out of the moment entirely.

There is also something worth hearing about your future self, why good enough is sometimes the smarter standard, and what to do when the only move left is to make the next step smaller.

  • It's Not Laziness: The Real Reasons You Keep Getting Stuck
    2026/07/30

Feeling stuck is not the same as being unmotivated. Sometimes something specific is in the way, and until you name it, no mindset shift or productivity hack is going to move you.

Anxiety keeps you from starting. Depression drains the energy the whole system runs on. ADHD scrambles the planning and self-supervision that getting hard things done actually requires. Burnout is different from all of those, and pushing harder when you are burnt out makes things worse, not better.

Then there are the quieter culprits. If only statements. Vague goals with no real system behind them. Values that are pulling in a different direction than the goal you set. Distractions that feel like breaks but are actually your nervous system running a very convincing escape route.

This episode is about knowing which one you are dealing with before you try to fix it.
