We talk about why family routines rarely get formally “canceled” and how they quietly die when we live by default instead of choosing rhythms on purpose. We map out daily and weekly rhythms that survive real life, then connect screens, Sabbath rest, and restarting to the freedom of the gospel.
• auditing a real weekday and week before adding anything new
• naming the “talk window” when kids open up and protecting it
• using Deuteronomy 6 as a pace for everyday discipleship
• keeping family devotions simple enough to survive busy seasons
• practicing a weekly Sabbath-like block of rest and worship
• teaching kids a theology of rest instead of hustle culture
• putting subtraction before addition when the calendar is full
• noticing how screens steal margins where conversation happens
• restarting quickly after a miss and refusing the shame spiral
• remembering rhythms are tools and Christ is the goal
