    Today we sit down with Emma and Charlie, two ski patrollers at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Responding to emergencies on ski slopes comes with all kinds of challenges. How do these responders look after patients 1500m above the nearest hospital, often in harsh weather conditions?


    Ski patrolling is also essential for risk mitigation on highly trafficked ski resorts. Using weather forecasting and explosives, the mountain slopes are managed to keep tourists safe while hunting for powder turns.

    REVSAR is a group of local volunteers who respond on any day at any time to calls for help from people in the backcountry who have gotten themselves into trouble. With members trained in a wide range of skills, from white-water rescue to high-angle rescue and longlining off helicopters.
