We’ve been on holiday, so it seems only fitting that we should be spending some time on the beach, dipping our toes into The Shallows! We quickly find that these waters are patrolled by a bloomin’ huge shark. We join Blake Lively in a desperate battle for survival against nature and have the odd chat with a seagull! We also have a big catch up after our hiatus where we talk about camping, Weston, CEX and Scrubs, amongst other things. Ryan Reynolds also pops up to check on his wife as we discuss Welcome to Wrexham and one of his movies.

One, Two, Movie Club’s coming for you! Step into the nightmare with dream warriors Rich and Blake as we delve into the 1987 movie, Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
We discuss each of the characters that comprise the titular warriors, talk about some of the acting in the film and how this movie continues the franchise in the way we all wanted.
As well as all this, we hear about Rich’s Rimmer style Space Corps Directives during a speed awareness course, Blake takes on the ‘A1200 A-holes’ and we also have a chat about the Vectrex Mini. Enjoy the episode, but whatever you…don’t fall asleep!!

We are finally back with the next movie for season 2, Under Siege, starring Steven Seagal. As ever, we'll take a deep dive into the film itself, as well as the stellar cast, during which we'll discuss whether Gary Busey enjoyed dressing as a woman a little too much, take a look at Tommy Lee Jones' acting skills and we'll probably press pause around the 43-minute mark!!
We also discuss an Arcade Club visit, discuss the IT: Welcome to Derry series and Blake gets to grips with that age-old debate over what exactly counts as 'retro'. Strap in, it's good to be back!!

A massive UFO has emerged right over the Retro Movie Club and we’re gonna need some help with this one!! Join us, as we enlist the help of Mark “Kitt” Bylund to get us all through the extra-terrestrial threat without getting probed, while we discuss the 1993 movie, Fire in the Sky!
During the episode, we discuss our thoughts on whether there are really aliens out there, we get almost annoyed by Dalek car salesmen, play a movie-based word association game, and we find out how and when Mark first encountered the movie. Grab your torches and prepare to find some crop circles - this could be a case for Mulder and Scully!!

Next Shows Film - Under Siege (1992)

Blake and Rich are locked in a battle to save humanity by utilising all the different skills of our multiversal selves to discuss the absolutely bonkers 2022, Oscar winning movie, Everything Everywhere All at Once. Listen as Rich attempts to make sense of this film for a scene-by-scene breakdown and we have a very tenuous linked game for this episode. We also try a rather strange coffee-flavoured stout that comes with it’s own stoat fact! We also discuss the Movie Club’s new soundtrack and we both get almost annoyed by cake cutting and golden circles!

Join Blake and Rich as they enlist the help of Retro Asylum’s own Mads Kristensen and Jim Middleton as we delve deep inside The Hive to find answers as to why The Red Queen has gone mad and started killing everybody! As we find ourselves embroiled in Umbrella Corp’s conspiracies, we talk about Milla Jovovich (a lot!), Red Dwarf and Twin Peaks, as well as the
possibility of having our very own Retro Movie Club playlist!
Tune in to see if we uncover the truth about Umbrella and which one of us will be the first to jump off a wall and kick a zombie dog square in the chops?!

The year is 2025 and Blake & Rich are locked in a centuries old battle for ‘the prize’. Knowledge and power comes with the prize and in the end we must battle till the end and become, The Midlander!!
Aside from all this, we also travel back to 1986 to watch another battle for the ages, in Highlander. Along the way, we delve into dodgy accents, a killer Queen soundtrack and 80s films in general. I'm off to find hallowed ground to avoid the battles for a while…you'll find me in the pub where there may be more than one!!
