• Longevity with Sensate and Elemind
    2026/03/21

We featured two founder CEO’s with outstanding, affordable longevity products. Both of these brilliant women and their teams provided ten minute lie-down experiences for attendees in the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP pavilion at CES 2026.

Anna Gudmundson explained how Sensate uses low-frequency sound vibrations to tune the vagus nerve. She noted the results of a study conducted in Lisbon which demonstrated significant reductions in heart rate and stress-related brainwaves after using Sensate. Users easily carry their Sensate’s around, enjoying meditation and calming where they wish to have it. Reviews show that Sensate has been effective for panic attack sufferers and fosters long term stress management and resilience.

Meredith Perry introduced the Elemind wearable headband that uses sound pulses to help users fall asleep faster and improve deep sleep. The product, which has a median sleep onset time of 10 minutes, was tested at CES 2026, where it successfully put people to sleep amidst the show's noise. Meredith has also been seen in noisy spots from a ferry to outside a Giants football game tailgate with Elemind’s “Sleep with Our CEO” campaign. Debbie Howard commented how light and comfortable Elemind is.

Sleep Awareness Week was March 10 - 16.

Recorded on March 12, 2026, this episode is part of our Longevity and CES Highlights Series. Both Elemind and Sensate are AgeTech Collaborative from AARP portfolio companies. Speakers are listed in their order of appearance.

  • Maddy Dychtwald Author Ageless Aging
    2025/12/27

Maddy Dychtwald joined us to discuss her book "Ageless Aging: A Woman's Guide to Increasing Healthspan, Brainspan, and Lifespan"

Maddy's book is a standout longevity book:
It was written by women for women. It is not the opinion of one or two women, it is based on interviews with more than 100 recognized experts in their field.

This book is extremely well researched and at the same time very readable. We learn new vocabulary in an easy manner. Published by Mayo Clinic Publishing assures it has been carefully reviewed.

Maddy Dychtwald has a unique advantage because of the network she has built with experts in the research work that Age Wave has done over 40 years.

The book is designed to inspire and prod women to begin taking steps or up their game in the habits they have already built. There are important check lists for the reader.

The book covers a breadth of topics all key to improving healthspan, brainspan and joyspan for women.

Maddy Dychtwald emphasized the importance of lifestyle choices in health, noting that 90% of health outcomes are influenced by lifestyle and environment, not genetics.

Maddy highlighted the significance of financial preparedness, stressing that women often face financial challenges in retirement. Fun fact, because women live longer, they may spend the money they need for their own end of life care caregiving for a loved one.

We also discussed fitness, hormones, nutrition, alcohol, brain health and sex after 70.
