Is the new Resident Evil movie worth watching?
Hugo and Julien clash over survival horror, video game fan service, and whether the film delivers real scares—or just a disposable popcorn ride.
In this episode of The Judgemental Minds Society, we break down what works and what falls flat: jokes that undercut the tension, CGI monsters, echoes of The Thing, rushed pacing, and familiar Resident Evil details like Raccoon City, typewriters, and green herbs.
Does capturing the games make it a good horror movie? Expect spoilers, disagreements, and absolutely no agreement on how much Hugo knows about Resident Evil.
What did you think of Resident Evil? A fun horror ride or a missed opportunity?
