Resentment does not always look like anger. Sometimes it sounds like silence, sarcasm, shutdown, and the words, “I’m fine.”
In this episode, we talk about how resentment can begin with real wounds like betrayal, disappointment, feeling unseen, unsupported, or abandoned — especially when needs go unspoken and pain is rehearsed instead of processed. Over time, resentment can harden the heart, distort how we see others, ourselves, and even God, and become a prison that slowly poisons the person carrying it.
Through personal examples from our marriage and family histories, we unpack the connection between resentment and unforgiveness, and why healing begins with naming the hurt, bringing it into the light, and choosing forgiveness without pretending the wound did not matter.
