    In this episode, we revisit the early warning signs of extremism through a powerful prophetic incident involving Dhul Khuwaisirah.

    When Dhul Khuwaisirah objected to the Prophet’s judgment and accused him of injustice, the Prophet Muhammad did not dismiss it as a minor comment. Instead, he gave a detailed, precise description of a future group whose characteristics would mirror this attitude — a group that would later become known as the Khawarij.

    The Prophet ﷺ described their:
    • Excessive outward religiosity
    • Arrogance masked as piety
    • Rebellion against legitimate authority

It’s astonishing how uninformed some of these youth are; all they have are loose strands of knowledge and lingering doubts that have led them to embrace the destructive bidʿah of the Khawārij.

    Discussing one of the principles of Khawarij: Ruling by other than Allah’s rule makes you an apostate – no exceptions!

    In Islam, declaring a ruler, a government, or an entire population as apostates (takfīr ʿāmm) is a major matter that requires clear proof from the Qur’an and Sunnah, applied case by case with the conditions and without ignoring the preventions.
