  • Psychedelics: Revolutionary treatments or dangerous poisons? Will Spencer
    2026/07/15

Are psychedelics the revolutionary mental health treatments we've been promised, or do they have a darker side?

In this eye-opening episode, Cam English and Dr. Liza Lockwood welcome Will Spencer—former 20-year New Age veteran and host of The Will Spencer Podcast. Spencer shares his extensive personal journey with ayahuasca (15 ceremonies), mushrooms, DMT, ketamine, and more, before his radical conversion to Christianity.

He exposes the spiritual risks and false promises of trauma healing through psychedelics. Together, they contrast chemical shortcuts with the lasting transformation found in the gospel, while examining the growing cultural and political push for legalization.

  • 'After-birth abortion'? The case against infanticide with Dr. Kristin Collier
    2026/06/09

"After-birth abortion: why should the baby live?"

That horrifying question isn’t edgy clickbait—it’s the actual title of a peer-reviewed article published in one of the world’s leading bioethics journals. The authors argue that killing a newborn (what they call “after-birth abortion”) should be permissible in all the same cases as abortion, even when the infant is perfectly healthy.

Many people recoiled in disgust, but few engaged the actual argument. On this debut episode of Redeeming Reason, Dr. Kristin Collier says that’s a mistake.

An Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan and Director of the school's Program on Health, Spirituality & Religion, Collier joins Cam English and Dr. Liza Lockwood to carefully dissect the paper and explain why Christians must confront these dangerous ideas before they shape medical practice and harm real patients.
