On episode 16 of Red Lens Podcast, I sat down for a conversation with Shawna Kenney. Shawna is co-author of the oral history Live at the Safari Club: A History of HarDCore Punk in the Nation’s Capital 1988-1998’ and publisher of the photo zine All Access: Bands on Film. She is also the author of the memoir I Was a Teenage Dominatrix, editor of the anthology Book Lovers: Sexy Stories from Under the Covers, and co-author of Imposters. On her website Shawna says she was “raised in the Washington DC area on a steady diet of Fugazi, I’ve always been a radical grrrl living in a capitalist world, digging for story.”We talk about all of the above and more in this interview!
