Three bible characters to consider are Mary, Martha, and the Syrophoenician woman. In the case of Mary losing her brother, Jesus heard her request to come and he delayed his coming two more days saying, "This is for the glory of God." Lazarus is dead and stinking for four days, Mary said.

All doubt is removed by the demonstration of the power of God as he raised him from the dead.

As with us, deliverance isn't coming by enticing words of men, but by the Holy Ghost only. God is going to get all the glory!

Our text is found in. the book of James 1:12. Three takeaways: Remember to look ahead, look within and to look around; these activities will determine a more successful outcome.

Refuses to quit. The crown is a reward of the faithful, the steadfast, the ones who held onto God when everything around them said let go. It is not a crown made of gold—it is the crown of life given from enduring lawfully--it's a reward that comes from efforts to win morally.

We can see this crown placed on us by Jesus through the results that are manifest in our life. When you endure, when you stand firm, when you love God through the storm, you are not just surviving… you are reinforcing the victory given to us by God. Hence, the Crown of Life shall be your reward.

God told Able saying, "if you do well shall you not be accepted." Gene. 4:7 KJV.

At the end of 1 Corinthians 12, Paul tells us to covet the best gifts. In other words, we should desire spiritual gifts so that we can serve God and His people more effectively.

However, the love of God must always come first. Putting spiritual gifts before God is a terrible mistake. The first and foremost priority is to love God. Those who truly love God will naturally desire spiritual gifts because these gifts are given for the enrichment and strengthening of His church.

The Gift of the Word of Wisdom

In 1 Corinthians 12:8–10, Paul identifies three gifts that are often described as the revelation gifts: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and the discerning of spirits.

The word of wisdom is the first of these three gifts mentioned. It provides divine insight and wisdom for a particular situation or need. These gifts are not given for personal glory; they are given to help build up, strengthen, and serve the body of Christ.
