Freddy Peralta dominated for five hitless innings as the Rays crushed the Astros 14-4, completing a three-game sweep and hitting 90 wins — the first AL team to reach that mark. Jonathan Aranda blasted two homers, Victor Mesa Jr. delivered a game-opening two-run triple, Richie Palacios added a three-run shot, and Nick Fortes also went deep. Every Tampa Bay starter had at least one hit and run. Houston’s Hayden Wesneski unraveled early, surrendering seven runs in three innings. Brody Hopkins made his MLB debut after Peralta, giving up a walk and a homer but it didn’t matter — the Rays were already in control. The Astros’ offense couldn’t keep up. Tampa heads into Tuesday with Griffin Jax facing the Athletics, while Houston sends Hunter Brown against the Royals. The Rays are rolling strong as they charge toward the finish line.
