A nature special on Arachnids? No, it’s a 1912 epistolary novel by Jean Webster that follows Jerusha “Judy” Abbott, a sharp-witted orphan whose college education is secretly funded by a mysterious trustee. I think you’ll like it.

Last episode ended with Valancy not near death, back at home, back to her dreary existence, and convinced she had lost Barney, the love of her life.

Last episode Valancy discovered that Barney was a multi-millionnaire. So quite able to afford a divorce, to get rid of a wife that has misled him all along. And possibly with an old girlfriend back in Montreal pining away for him. Valancy has no option but to leave him.
