Power Pro Wrestling continues to morph into The Randy Hales Show, and this week somehow manages to shift into another gear.
Gene, Robb, and BT head back to October 17, 1998, where Randy is everywhere once again, Bill Dundee continues to verbally annihilate everyone in his path , Brandon Baxter tries to put last week’s humiliation behind him, and a new arrival claiming the LeDuc family name immediately raises one very important question: Where’s your axe? (Good call, Randy!)
Add in Jerry Lawler, Kid Wikkid, Derrick King, Ashley Hudson, Rex King, Master B’s bridge falling out during a match, and the continued buildup toward Sid Vicious finally wrestling on Power Pro TV, and this episode is far more about personalities, grudges, and people calling each other out than anything happening bell to bell (and that’s OK!)
It’s messy, personal, occasionally ridiculous, and exactly the kind of late ’90s Memphis television that gives Gene, Robb, and BT plenty to talk about.
And yes always remember.. if you’re going to show up in Memphis calling yourself a LeDuc, you’d better bring a damn axe or Randy Hales will call you out about it! (as he should)
