People were looking for meaning in life and freedom from the shame of their immorality. Paul knew that the only way a person or a society can be healed from the sickness of sin is through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Romans 2:1-3:8. Martin Luther once said: “We are saved by faith alone, but not a faith that is alone.” In other words, genuine faith leads to obedience, because our love for Christ is made obvious by what we do!
