  • The Barriers We Create And Things That Get Through Barriers!
    2025/08/26

We create mental barriers/walls to protect us, but the cruel twists of some of these barriers is that they also isolate us from things that help us improve or make us happy. Barriers pertaining to love is one good example, because sadly, we spend some time with someone, or people, who turn out to not be good for us, and as a result, we tend to pass over the people who can really be good for us, due to our own walls that we build within our minds. There are things that also slowly cause our walls to crumble, allowing things to come in and the hope is that the things that come, change us for the better. Well, I certainly hope things change for the better for you --- let’s talk about barriers!

  • Are The Things You Are Doing Working For You?
    2025/08/19

Inner work is difficult, and because a lot of us would much rather avoid thinking about things, especially ourselves, inner work often goes undone...if we had to think of inner work as a backyard, there are probably lots of weeds and the grass is super tall! When we think of terms like “checkup” or “scheduling appointments”, it is often for a physical checkup at a clinic or maybe a room reservation, but as people, we should do a lot more checkups that consist of evaluating our feelings, our goals, things we can celebrate, things we can do better, and we should do it with some consistency, to help us be our best selves. This episode was made to check up on you!

  • The Harm Of Stereotyping!
    2025/08/12

Imagine waking up and going outside and everyone insinuates that you are a criminal, just based on something like your physical appearance, or how you walk or talk...naturally, such thoughts aren’t applicable to everyone, even if we all looked exactly the same. Being born a twin, I can tell you for certain that me and my twin have very different lives, but when we stereotype people, we automatically put people in a box, without letting their actions actually speak for their character, and in some cases, we even claim that people are guilty, without any due process. Stereotyping, unfortunately, is quite popular, and it does a lot of harm to otherwise decent people. This episode discusses the harm that comes from stereotyping, and how people are more than whatever bias we have...also, check out some supplemental reading related to the episode below:

  • Dealing With Life Transitions!
    2025/08/05

Life transitions are often complicated, in many ways, which includes complicated emotions on how we feel about them and what we should do. Even a change that may seem good on the surface, like a new promotion at work, can create a lot of mixed emotions, and the feelings we have about change can either be felt instantly, or there could be a delayed reaction. One of the most dreaded things about transitions, good or bad, is that there’s often a lot of uncertainty. While we can’t exactly predict what will happen, there are ways we can deal with change, that this episode discusses!

  • How To Stop Overthinking: Strategies And Love From An Overthinker!
    2025/07/29

Overthinking can be about something super ordinary like what one wants to eat for dinner, but it can also be about something heavy, like what to do after you’ve had an argument with a loved one. To put it a certain way, not all overthinking is created equal, but whether we are thinking about things that would be deemed low stakes or high stakes, a lot of people ask themselves: “What can I do about this overthinking???”

Overthinking does not have to consume every aspect of our lives, and acting on our overthinking and, well, THINKING about our overthinking, can not only help us grow and learn, but it can even allow us to reframe situations where one overthinks in ways that can prove beneficial to self! I mentioned it in a past episode, but “brain dumps” are one of the things that tends to come from my own overthinking, and it gives me a lot of ideas to work on, things to explore, areas to improve, as well as even allows me to give positive self-talk when addressing things I’ve done right, not just wrong. This episode discusses strategies and shares examples that can help you stop overthinking!

  • Turning Bad Situations Into Good Ones!
    2025/07/22

When we make a mistake, and we are responsible for something bad that has happened, or we end up involved in a bad situation, even if we aren’t responsible, what can we do? We can’t always fix the problem right away, and sometimes, we can’t fix it at all...but a situation is a situation --- one of MANY, that you will experience in life. With so many situations and so many opportunities to do something different...something new, something GOOD, a negative experience doesn’t have to be the end of the road, so to speak. The truth is this: There are people who have come back from some truly horrible things or have done things that are just plain awful, and no, their lives aren’t the same as your life...but it’s worth understanding that while we don’t all share the same connections or support groups, it is possible to turn negative things into positive things. This episode discusses some of the techniques that people use to do exactly that.
