Hey there! It’s Joey here, your friendly investor who’s been around the block a few times. Today, we’re talking about Riot Platforms, or RIOT for short. It was a red day for them, down about 1.9%. Not a huge drop, but still, nobody likes to see red, right?

So, what went down? RIOT had a bit of a rough ride today. There was some buzz earlier this week when they hit a four-year high after a deal with Terrestrial Energy. Everyone was hyped, but now it seems like that excitement didn't hold up. The stock opened strong but then just kinda faded away as the day went on. I mean, it got smoked, right? Volume was normal, so it wasn’t like there was a sudden panic or anything. Just a slow bleed throughout the day.

Now, why did this happen? Well, there’s a couple of things in play. First off, even though the Terrestrial Energy deal had folks buzzing, that hype seems to have cooled off. Plus, some other stocks in the same space, like GLXY and KEEL, took a dip too, even though they had a ‘buy’ rating from Chardan. It’s like a chain reaction, you know? When one stock stumbles, it kinda drags others down with it. And there’s also news about FMR LLC picking up a 7.6% stake in RIOT, which should’ve been good news, but it didn’t really help the stock today. Sometimes, it just doesn’t make sense.

One thing to keep in mind is that RIOT is still fresh off that big deal, and they’ve got a lot of eyes on them. So, while they took a hit today, there’s still potential ahead.
