Speck speaks with Quips & Clips on the continued benefits of efforts at inclusion in a society in which she says “we have all been racialized.”

    She uses her personal journey, from education in a legally integrated school in Washington, D.C.'s Virginia suburbs to assisting New York City firefighters in learning more about perspectives they never considered, to explore the erroneous belief that diversity, equity and inclusion is about favoring people of color. Speck responds to the hostility of those in opposition to DEI in the workplace and answers the often-posed question of "What's in it for me?"
