    2026/01/09

    Happy New Year, Nerds!

We are back and diving into the new year with our most anticipated movies of 2026!

But before we dig into that, we look back at 2025 and the movies we’re still trying to cram in before we deliver our Top Tens of the year!

Then we look at some other top movies, or so-called, of the Screen Actors Guild as they announce their nominees for this year! We get into all the snubs and surprises and give our predictions too, of course.

It’s time to catch up with the latest trailers, including Nolan’s The Odyssey, a new take on an old tale with The Death of Robin Hood, and a spoilerific trailer for They Will Kill You. Plus we get honest about the four-part Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer release.

For a double helping of our feature discussion, along with our most anticipated movies of 2026, we also review the holiday hit, AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH! Does the third of the franchises carry on the momentum of the second film, or is this story dead in the water?

And finally, we dabble in what we’ve been into as both nerds, Ed and Luis, try to squeeze in every last movie they can before we wrap 2025 for good. Plus Sorry, Baby, Stranger Things and more.

It’s a long one this week, but a good, fun discussion was had by all and, hopefully, by you!

Listen to this episode, and all our episodes, wherever you get your pods. Find us on youtube, and don’t forget to follow, like and subscribe to us on socials!

It’s been a year since Wicked Part One rocked our Miguel’s world, and now we’re back to review part two!

Does it defy gravity, or does it suffer from the second act syndrome?

We get into what worked, what didn’t, how the cast holds up, favorite moments (and least favorite), so be warned… there will be spoilers.

As always find us wherever you get your podcasts, watch our episodes on YouTube. Like, follow and subscribe and stay tuned next week for more!

"Wicked: For Good (also known as Wicked: Part Two[c]) is a 2025 American musical fantasy film directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The sequel to Wicked (2024), it adapts the second act of the 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman, which was loosely based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel, a reimagining of L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and its 1939 film adaptation. Ariana Grande,[b] Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum return from the first film. Set in the Land of Oz before and during the events of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the film explores the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good." - Wiki
