Today we follow Nephi's lead in processing negative emotions that are pulling us down.

Here are the questions we used for our contemplative journal exercise:

1. What life circumstances seem to be causing my stress or discomfort?

2. What thoughts have I had about those circumstances that are causing my negative emotions?

3. How am I experiencing those emotions physically? Where are they in my body? What can I do to allow them to be there?

4.How do the feelings/sensations change as I open up and accept them?

5.What past experiences have I had with God that call me to trust God now?

6.What truths did I learn about God from those past experiences?

7.What feelings flow out of those truths? (Allow yourself to feel them deeply)

8.What has changed inside me since I started this exercise?
