  • Nine Mile Metals expands VMS at Wedge Mine with strong copper, zinc, gold and silver results
    2026/09/24
Nine Mile Metals CEO Patrick Cruickshank joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss encouraging assay results from recent drilling at the company's Wedge Mine Project in New Brunswick’s prolific Bathurst Mining Camp, further demonstrating the strength and continuity of the volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization system. The latest results come from drill hole DDH WD-26-14, which was collared on the southwestern edge of the company’s current drill pattern and completed to a depth of 158 metres. The hole successfully intersected a significant interval of high-grade VMS mineralization between 107.35 metres and 121.50 metres before transitioning into interbedded sediments and volcanics and ultimately terminating in felsic volcanic rocks. Cruickshank noted that the mineralized zone consisted primarily of pyritic VMS mineralization containing visible chalcopyrite, along with localized galena and sphalerite. Assays showed increasing grades of silver, gold, copper and zinc with depth, highlighting the strength of the system and its potential for further expansion. Peak assay values from the hole included 4.57% copper, 11.30% zinc, 2.29% lead, 62 grams per tonne silver and 1.355 grams per tonne gold. The company believes these results continue to demonstrate the polymetallic nature of the Wedge deposit and reinforce its exploration potential within one of Canada's most productive mining districts. Cruickshank also highlighted results from drill hole DDH WD-26-11, another hole drilled from the southwestern portion of the exploration pattern. The hole was completed to a depth of 149 metres and successfully intersected two distinct zones of high-grade VMS mineralization carrying copper, lead, zinc, silver and gold. The upper mineralized zone contained pyrite, chalcopyrite, covellite and bornite, reflecting a strong copper-rich component. One individual sample returned a copper grade of 3.47%, underscoring the quality of the mineralization encountered. The mineralized sequence was interrupted by what the company interprets as a historic exploration drift, evidenced by the presence of blast holes within the drill core. Below the void, copper-rich VMS mineralization resumed and continued until terminating against a silicified sedimentary mélange at approximately 104.4 metres depth. According to Cruickshank, the latest drilling continues to confirm the presence of robust, high-grade mineralization at Wedge while expanding the company’s understanding of the geometry and continuity of the deposit. The increasing precious metal values with depth and the presence of multiple sulphide-rich zones provide additional encouragement as Nine Mile advances exploration within the Bathurst Mining Camp. #proactiveinvestors #ninemilemetlas #cse #nine #otc #vmxsxf #mining #wedgemine #BathurstMiningCamp #VMS #Copper #Zinc #Gold #Silver #Lead #MiningExploration #DrillingResults #CriticalMinerals #JuniorMining #ResourceDevelopment

  • Total Graphite highlights multi-project growth strategy across Madagascar and Mozambique
    2026/09/24
Total Graphite Plc Chairman Christian Dennis joined Steve Darling from Proactive to discuss significant exploration success at the company's Vatomina graphite project in Madagascar, where recent drilling has returned graphite grades of up to 18.6% carbon, substantially higher than the 2.5% to 3% material currently being processed through the existing plant. Dennis said the results have the potential to materially enhance the long-term value of the operation by identifying a higher-grade source of feedstock that could support both increased production efficiency and an extended mine life. The company has now identified more than four kilometres of strike length at Vatomina and believes the deposit could ultimately contain between 18 million and 20 million tonnes of graphite, significantly exceeding the approximately 6 million tonnes currently classified under JORC standards. According to Dennis, the discovery represents a potentially transformational opportunity for the Madagascar operation by providing access to higher-grade material that can be processed through existing infrastructure. Beyond Madagascar, Total Graphite continues to advance two large-scale development projects in Mozambique, both of which have completed feasibility studies and hold mining permits. The Montepuez project hosts approximately 110 million tonnes grading 8.1% graphite, containing an estimated 9 million tonnes of graphite, and is permitted for annual production of 100,000 tonnes. Meanwhile, the Balama Central project, located adjacent to Syrah Resources' producing Balama mine, contains approximately 59 million tonnes grading 9% graphite and is permitted to produce up to 58,000 tonnes annually. Dennis noted that an independent brokerage review found Total Graphite to be unique among its peer group, as the only company with two feasibility-stage graphite projects of globally significant scale. A key component of the company's strategy is moving beyond raw graphite production and capturing additional value through downstream processing. Dennis outlined the substantial pricing differences between various graphite products, noting that graphite concentrate typically sells for between $800 and $1,200 per tonne, while micronized graphite can command around $2,000 per tonne. Higher-value products such as high-purity graphite and expandable graphite can achieve prices ranging from $3,000 to $4,800 per tonne, while battery-grade anode materials may sell for between $6,000 and $8,000 per tonne. To support this strategy, Total Graphite has already completed a pre-feasibility study for an anode material processing facility in Reno, Nevada, linked to the Montepuez project. The study outlined a project with an estimated net present value of approximately $369 million. Dennis said the company intends to revisit the optimal location for the facility as development plans for Montepuez continue to advance. The company also sees strategic advantages in the differing graphite characteristics across its asset portfolio. Vatomina's graphite is predominantly large and jumbo flake material, representing roughly 70% of production. Dennis explained that these larger flakes are particularly well suited for premium industrial applications such as expandable graphite, crucibles, and refractory products, where demand remains strong and pricing attractive. #proactiveinvestors #totalgraphiteplc #lse #tgr #otcqx #tgrhf #graphite #BatteryMaterials #EVBatteries #EnergyStorage #CriticalMinerals #HighPurityGraphite #ActiveAnodeMaterial #ExpandableGraphite #MiningNews #CleanEnergy #ResourceInvesting #Madagascar #Mozambique #SteveDarling

  • Kingfisher Mining MD discusses progress as Copper Blow eyes maiden resource by year-end
    2026/09/23
Kingfisher Mining Ltd (ASX:KFM) managing director Chris Bittar spoke with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's strategy to transition from an exploration story towards a near-term development story, led by its high-grade Copper Blow copper-gold project around 20 kilometres south of Broken Hill. Bittar said recent drilling at Copper Blow has confirmed high-grade copper-gold mineralisation and validated the company's geological model, building on historical drilling across the project. Mineralisation has now been defined over around 600 metres and remains open at depth and along strike, offering scope to grow tonnes towards a future resource. "The next round of drilling is probably just purely going to focus on the size of the system," Bittar said, with Kingfisher aiming to finalise a maiden Mineral Resource by year-end. He also highlighted wider exploration potential, with another three to four kilometres of trend essentially untested using modern drilling techniques, to be investigated once the main Copper Blow mineralisation advances towards a resource. A key part of the development pathway is Kingfisher's mining and processing agreement with Broken Hill Mines, giving access to the 750,000-tonne-a-year Rasp processing plant - an option Bittar said offers a lower-capital, shorter-timeframe route compared with a standalone project. Kingfisher is aiming to have a drill rig on site in October, with metallurgical test work under way on the oxide and transitional ore. Work continues at Wellington and Cobar, though Copper Blow remains the company's main focus for the rest of the year. • Arizona Eagle uncovers deeper shaft, advances McCabe gold redevelopment strategy
    2026/09/23
Arizona Eagle Mining Corp CEO Kevin Reid joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide an update on the company’s McCabe high-grade gold and silver project in Arizona, highlighting what he believes could be a transformational opportunity built around an extensive historic mining operation with significant existing infrastructure. Reid explained that the McCabe Mine was previously operated until the early 1990s, when mining giant BHP shut down operations during a period when gold prices were hovering around US$300 per ounce. The property subsequently remained in private hands for nearly four decades before Arizona Eagle acquired the asset and began assembling a much larger district-scale land package around it. Today, the company controls nearly 5,000 acres in the region, including more than 400 acres of patented private land that hosts 11 historic producing gold and silver mines, along with over 4,000 acres of surrounding Bureau of Land Management claims. Reid believes this consolidated land position provides substantial exploration and development potential beyond the original McCabe Mine footprint. One of the most significant discoveries made since acquiring the project came during a recent underground assessment. Using a submersible camera system, Arizona Eagle determined that the mine’s concrete-lined production shaft extends significantly deeper than previously documented. Historical records indicated a depth of approximately 1,450 feet, but the company confirmed the shaft actually reaches roughly 1,650 feet. According to Reid, this finding further enhances the value of the project’s existing infrastructure, which includes a 15-foot-wide production shaft, approximately five kilometres of underground workings and a ventilation raise located roughly 1,000 feet from the main shaft. He estimates the replacement cost of this infrastructure alone could exceed US$50 million in today’s market. Following its public listing, Arizona Eagle completed a seven-hole Phase 1 surface drilling program that generated encouraging results and led to what Reid described as several new discoveries. However, he noted that the extensive underground workings present challenges for surface drilling, including the potential to lose drill holes into historic mine voids. As a result, the company’s strategic focus has shifted toward evaluating the feasibility of regaining underground access. Reid believes that drilling from underground stations could dramatically improve efficiency, reducing drilling costs to approximately one-tenth of comparable surface programs while allowing the company to complete 50 to 70 drill holes during a single campaign instead of the seven holes completed in the initial surface program. The project also benefits from what Reid describes as a highly favourable permitting environment. The core assets are situated on patented private land adjacent to a paved highway, eliminating many of the surface-disturbance challenges often associated with exploration projects on federal lands. The property has access to water, faces no known species or Indigenous land-use constraints on its primary development areas, and is located just 45 minutes from Prescott, Arizona, providing access to skilled labour and infrastructure. Reid believes the combination of historic production, existing underground infrastructure, district-scale exploration potential and favourable permitting conditions positions McCabe as a unique redevelopment opportunity in one of the most mining-friendly jurisdictions in the United States. #proactiveinvestors #americaneagleminingcorp #tsxv #ae #mining #GoldMining #SilverMining #McCabeProject #ArizonaMining #GoldExploration #MiningStocks #JuniorMining #HighGradeGold #ResourceDevelopment #PreciousMetals #MiningInfrastructure #YavapaiCounty #ExplorationNews
