  • “Time: Your Greatest Ally or Your Worst Enemy?”
    2025/07/17

In this solo episode of the ProActivators Podcast, Gabriel "The ProActivator" delivers a passionate wake-up call about the most valuable resource we often neglect: time.

He shares a raw, personal realization from this year — that despite feeling productive, much of his time was misaligned with his goals. And like most people, he was caught in distractions disguised as meaningful activity.

But once Gabriel became intentional with how he spent every hour — tracking, budgeting, and guarding his time — everything changed.

🎯 In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • Why social media and news are engineered to steal your time
    • The mindset shift that helps you say no to distractions
    • Why time management is spiritual, mental, and strategic
    • How to build a high-frequency lifestyle, brick by brick
    • Why greatness isn’t loud — it’s consistent

You’ll also hear how Gabriel uses daily time audits, avoids the endless scroll, and posts with purpose — all while building a mindset that elevates him far above the noise.

💡 “When you own your time, you own your life.”

This episode is for anyone feeling stuck, distracted, or behind — and ready to take full ownership of their future.

  • From Athlete to Entrepreneur: Charles Allen’s CrossFit MIA Story
    2025/07/14

Hey, this is Gabriel, the ProActivator, welcoming you to the ProActivators Podcast! I was thrilled to interview Charles Allen, co-founder of CrossFit MIA in Miami. Despite some video glitches (audio’s still solid—sorry about that!), this episode dives into Charles’s journey as an athlete turned entrepreneur. I wrote this description to share my excitement about his ProActivator mindset with you all.

    Key Highlights:

    • Athletic Beginnings: Charles played sports from a kid through college football, earning Freshman of the Year. I loved how a high school coach calling him out for skipping weights sparked his lifelong habit.
    • CrossFit MIA Journey: I learned how Charles and Zach turned a 1200-square-foot space and $9,000 into a thriving gym since 2012, growing from 12 members to a competitive community.
    • Business Challenges: Charles shared how the first years were a hobby with $12,000 revenue, but a mindset shift seven years ago, with a business coach’s help, fueled growth. Starting today takes $50,000+!
    • Habits for Success: I was inspired by his discipline over motivation, applying athletic work ethic to business. Delegating tasks like social media has been key for him.
    • Personal Growth: With a family and a focus on financial freedom, Charles uses a “4K Weeks” calendar to track life’s brevity—I loved his plan to hike Angel’s Landing with his son. He’s also into Bitcoin!
    • Advice for Entrepreneurs: Charles told me to invest in myself, take risks when young, and learn from successful people—pure ProActivator wisdom.

  • Rising to the Top: Jorge Valdez’s Journey to ProActivator Success
    2025/06/30

Gabriel interviews Jorge Valdez, a financial planner and CrossFit enthusiast, on building a seven-figure business, raising successful kids, and staying fit at 56. Learn his secrets to discipline and goal-setting! (188 characters)

Show Notes: In this dynamic episode of the Pro Activators Podcast, host Gabriel welcomes Jorge Valdez, a 56-year-old certified financial planner, founder of Financial Designs, Inc., and dedicated CrossFit athlete. Jorge shares his inspiring journey from a tough start in the insurance industry during a recession to building a thriving business, raising three successful children, and maintaining fitness, while seeking to deepen his spiritual life.

    Key Highlights:

    • Financial Success: Starting at 21 with Mutual of Omaha in 1989, Jorge faced rejection but hit President’s Club in three months. He founded Financial Designs, Inc. in 1993, now generating $7–8 million annually with a net profit of ~$3 million. His strategy? Setting a $2,000 weekly sales goal, with Saturday work as a consequence for missing it.
    • Family Legacy: Jorge’s proudest achievement is his children—Jessica (31, pregnant), Jennifer (CFP, wealth division founder), and Jorge Jr. (25, CFP fiduciary)—who work with him. Post-divorce at 33, he prioritized presence, never missing a day with them, fostering open communication and respect.
    • Fitness Discipline: From a chubby teen to a CrossFit regular (4–5 times weekly) since 14, Jorge recently added yoga for flexibility. He credits fitness for mental focus, starting with jogging, push-ups, and ab wheels before joining LA Fitness and CrossFit 10 years ago.
    • Spiritual Growth: After his mother’s passing, Jorge embraced spirituality, planning to read the New International Version (NIV) Bible and pray to build a relationship with God, applying his disciplined approach to this new area.
    • Mindset and Habits: Inspired by Zig Ziglar’s “help others get what they want” and The Art of the Deal, Jorge uses goal-setting, de-escalates conflicts, and tackles tough tasks first (“eating frogs”). He reads books like Steve Jobs’ biography to stay inspired.
    • Advice for Listeners:
      • Young Professionals: Set specific goals with consequences and push past comfort zones, like Jorge did with public speaking.
      • Fitness: Commit to consistent workouts, start small, and try yoga for flexibility and mental clarity.
      • Spirituality: Build a relationship with God through prayer, NIV Bible reading, and serving in a church community.
      • Family: Be present, communicate openly, and treat employees like family to foster loyalty.

  • Reflecting on Family: Gabriel’s Solo ProActivator Journey
    2025/06/26

Gabriel, the Pro Activator, hosts his first solo episode, diving into the family pillar of the Pro Activators framework. He shares pride in raising disciplined, fit kids and the power of modeling true values.

Welcome to the first solo episode of the ProActivators Podcast! I’m Gabriel, the ProActivator host, and today it’s just me, no guests, as I reflect on a deep question every ProActivator should ask: What are you truly proud of? For me, it’s the family pillar—one of the six pillars (faith, fitness, finances, family, focus, fulfillment)—where I’ve shown up consistently.

    Key Highlights:

    • Family Pride: I’m proud of developing my sons, Enzo (15) and Liam (almost 13), with love, discipline, and patience. Since ages 8–10, they’ve learned real-life skills—laundry (50%), cooking breakfast/lunch, folding clothes, making beds (not 100%), and keeping rooms organized (not 100%). Progress, not perfection, is the goal.
    • Fitness Commitment: My boys join me at the gym, waking at 4:30 AM weekdays. For four years, Enzo has trained five days weekly; Liam, nearly three years, will hit three in August. We’ve added CrossFit this summer—they’re excelling!
    • Healthy Habits: They avoid sugary snacks (70–80%), practice self-control with eating (unlike my past struggles), brush teeth (100%), shower (95%), and handle dishes (90%) with minimal prompting. They’re nearly autonomous.
    • Spiritual Growth: They pray before meals, thank God, and call us out if we forget. They study for tests (not 100%) and prep for church Sundays, showing respect and initiative.
    • Modeling Values: I emphasize living authentically. Learning is caught, not just taught. I model transparency—nothing to hide from my wife or kids. This builds trust (150%) and freedom, boosting confidence when no one’s watching.
    • Thought of the Day: Be real, especially alone. When you have nothing to hide, you live free. Try it—my wife and I thrive this way.

Advice: Reflect on your pride, model values you live, and commit to family progress. Start small with kids’ responsibilities or fitness, and stay consistent.

  • From Rock Bottom to Redemption: Mario Mahecha’s ProActivator Story
    2025/06/23

Gabriel interviews Mario Mahecha, an insurance agent with a ministry calling, on overcoming addiction, embracing faith, staying fit, and fatherhood. Learn how to find purpose and build discipline! (178 characters)

In this powerful episode of the Pro Activators Podcast, host Gabriel welcomes Mario Mahecha, a 30-year-old insurance agent, former musician, and ministry leader with a calling toward pastoral work. Mario shares his transformative journey from addiction to becoming a Pro Activator—a person who crushes procrastination and builds life-elevating disciplines.

    Key Highlights:

    • Spiritual Transformation: Mario recounts his dark past as a touring drummer in Colombia, battling drug addiction and identity crises. At 21, a mandatory Christian rehab led to a profound encounter with Jesus during a worship session, sparking his conversion. He emphasizes surrendering pride and identity to grow spiritually, using annual vision boards to prepare for God’s plans.
    • Fitness as Therapy: Mario views fitness as spiritual and mental therapy, starting in rehab to combat dopamine withdrawal. From basic push-ups to intense CrossFit, he sees workouts as a way to humble the soul and maintain discipline. He advises those struggling with fitness to join a community for accountability and start with small, consistent steps.
    • Family and Fatherhood: Married for four years with a young daughter, Mario overcame fears of fatherhood by being present. He stresses that presence regulates emotions for his wife and child, and advises men to prioritize their spouse’s heart over being right, citing Love and Respect for understanding love languages.
    • Business Struggles: As an insurance agent building a brokerage with his father, Mario admits he’s still working toward financial freedom. He’s learning to multiply himself through his team and values exposure through platforms like this podcast to grow confidence and refine his path.
    • Time Management Challenges: Mario acknowledges struggling with time management due to his high-energy personality. He plans to apply the same discipline from fitness and faith—structuring his day like a CrossFit workout—to improve efficiency and accountability.
    • Advice for Listeners:
      • Struggling with Marriage: Men should prioritize their wife’s emotional needs over being right, validate feelings, and learn her love language.
      • Seeking Fulfillment: Serve others selflessly in your community or ministry to find intangible fulfillment.
      • Fitness Struggles: Join a fitness community for accountability, start small, and redefine comfort as the reward after disciplined effort.
